1. The spot size of the laser: the smaller the spot after the laser is concentrated, the higher the precision of laser processing, especially achieving the smaller slit. The minimum spot can reach 0.01mm.
2. The positioning accuracy of the motion system: it determines the repeated accuracy of laser processing. The higher the motion system accuracy, the higher the cutting accuracy.
3. Workpiece thickness: The larger the thickness, the lower the precision and the larger the slit. Because the laser light is tapered, the slit is also tapered, the slit of 0.3mm raw material is much smaller than 2mm materials.
4. Workpiece material: The material has certain hazards to the laser cutting accuracy. Under the same conditions, the cutting accuracy of different materials is slightly different. Even for the same material, if the composition of the raw material is different, the cutting accuracy will be different.
So, how to ensure high precision in laser processing?
1. Focus point control technology system. The smaller the relative aperture of the focusing lens, the smaller the spot diameter of the focusing point, so matching the focusing point and the surface part of the raw material to be cut is very important.
2. Cutting hole technology. For thermal cutting technology, except for a few cases where cutting can be started from the edge of the board, it is generally necessary to punch a small round hole on the board. In the past, on the laser stamping compound machine, a pin was used to punch a hole first, and then a laser was used to gradually cut from the small hole.
3. Air nozzle design and cyclone control technology system. The focused laser is injected into the material to be cut according to the nozzle, thereby generating a cyclone beam. The main requirement for the gas is that the total gas flow into the wound should be large and the rate should be high, so that sufficient air oxidation can make the surface of the raw material carry out a sufficient chemical reaction; at the same time, there is sufficient gas to blow the molten raw material out.
Laser machine cutting has no burrs, wrinkles and high precision, which is better than low temperature plasma cutting. For many mechanical and electrical engineering manufacturing industries, intelligent laser cutting machines can easily cut workpieces of different specifications (the engineering drawings of workpieces can also be changed), so it is usually preferred over punching and molding processes. Although its processing speed is relatively slow, it can reduce the production cost because there is no mold consumption, no need to repair the mold and saving the time for replacing the mold. This is precisely why it is loved.
